Happy Leap Day!  

Is it me or does it seem like we hardly ever have  leap year? I know it is every 4 years but sometimes it feels like years go by and I cant remember when The last one was.  I guess it's just not something anyone else really cares about. 

I am kind of a boring person , but I find  things like Groundhog day, Leap year day and the minor holidays kind of cool. People only seem to like the federal holidays that get us off school or work. I like leap year. I don't know why. I have since I was a kid. I am excited for the 1st day of spring too. This year it's March 19th.It is fun for me  to bake a cake or hang a wreath honoring these irrelevant occasions.Do I sound crazy? Maybe but I have always enjoyed the little things in life. 

The first day of Daylight savings will make me Happy for sure ! I never like saying goodbye to 7 pm sunsets in the Fall. Maybe it is the fact I'm aging and time seems to pass so damn fast that I wasn't to savor the little things. Also , I know it isn't but I think in my silly brain Leap day seems like I get an extra free day of life, so I might as well enjoy it. Life isn't always fun or carefree . I have difficulties like everyone. I'm tired a lot . I have seasonal depression in the winter. So I need to treasure the small pleasures. Happy Leap Day! I hope yours gives you some small joy.

I don't know who else is going through cancer treatment, or is just beginning worried about what their treatment will be. How awful will it be. I can not tell you what you will go through . but I will say you are going to need a team of doctors. Let me see I have 5 ,for my breast cancer. They are all affiliated with the hospital closest to my home , and I tell you that was so convenient when I had to travel back and forth especially for my 34 daily radiation treatments.  It was already tiresome, I could not imagine having to drive to a further treatment center! Tomorrow I am going to that same hospital , and though the bulk of my treatment is over, I still see all the doctors affiliated with it. I am not however going for treatment. I am going for a rally, which sounds like a fun word , but it is really more of a protest. Summer . 2021. Almost over the pandemic? Birthday party time!! Day after tomorrow is my sweet granddaughter's 7th birthday. Everyone thinks they have the best grandkid. I honestly do not know how we got the beautiful, smart , funny as hell one that we got. I don't know how we warp speeded through the last seven years , but I sure as hell don't know how she is going to be SEVEN.  She and I have been through our own health battles .I remember how fragile she was when she was born. But she is a fighter . She is strong , you would not know now that she had a tough beginning.  She is bright , she made it through this school year  , and almost half of last year , doing school remotely. She was able to do well with her school work during this pandemic . She has computer skills much better than mine. Her over all school work was great . SIDE FEECTS!How little I knew. #ouch,#cancersucks,#breastcancer#sideeffects#toxicpiss

Crap, How little I knew about side effects! The doctors all spoke to me. I heard the names of my Chemo medicines. Chemo poisons describes them better. They do the job. They kill the cancer cells which wanted me dead.  I google searched the meds. I was going to be my own advocate! A cancer warrior!! All those bullshit trendy slogans . All those "You can do this,atta girls"" !Were right here with you. We got your back"!! Not to downgrade people supporting you , but you go through cancer treatment alone. I tried to learn some treatment lingo , from support  .... I want to say groups... but its just post.  I think they might be called ' message boards". I would of preferred an old fashioned. chat room ,lol.     I have no memory for medical talks. I guess in the office, although , I know my doctor is saying very important things to me but my mind wanders.I think it was a bit of a denial thing in the beginning.  Or I forget half the things he or she said...
